Vida collection4/17/2016 I am so fortunate to have chosen by VIDA to be one of their artist/designer. I think it is more of an answered prayer after i went to Poor Clares Monastery. Indeed, everything we do has a result, I'm glad and overwhelmingly happy with such collaboration. What so good with the company is that, they help unfortunate kids to be sent to school with every sales from the collection of all the contributing designer/artist. Its one thing i knew i have been wanting to do, but, don't have much means to make it happen, with VIDA they make it reality for these kids to be in school. below is the sample photo of my collection turned into tops. Rainy days are here again4/9/2016 Today, i have the luxury of waking up late. The rain never stop and i wonder what can i do...
I decided to use my new Nikon AF FX NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G Fixed Lens with Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR Cameras and see what i can produce from it. I made my one light set up (12" Inch Flexible Tripod w/ Wrapable Legs. Quick Release Plate for Gopro 1, 2, 3, 3+, 4 Gopro+, Gopro Hero Silver... and LimoStudio 176 pcs LED Light for DSLR Camera Camcorder Continuous Light, Battery and Charger, Hard Carry Case... )and a white board using my small photo book. After watching for awhile how other photographer from youtube do their macro (thanks to youtube: https://youtu.be/n5LEbDalPRA and https://youtu.be/v9fmktZ-JK4 ), I decided to do a ring shoot. i grab my own rings and couple of flowers to coordinate with it. And I'm amazed how the results are, quality wise of the lens is good, i followed the tripod trick and it turned out well. I will be doing more of this kind in the future. It is fun, cheap and interesting. Reconnected11/15/2015 It has been years the last time I talked and saw a dear friend of mine...Laura.
I have a good recollection of our memories from the Philippines, as classmates, friends, "kumadre", and professionals. Last week, I have the chance to fly to Orange Country to meet and be with her. It was a crazy waiting in the airport, anticipating how are we gonna react seeing each other again... I was waiting patiently in the arrival area, as we exchanges text... as I look around for all the coming cars, she on the other hand are so worried that I'm waiting too long... panicky, she made a wrong turn and ended up looking at the departure area...ahahahahhaha, she's so funny. the Laura that I new back then, still the same as she is today, she wouldn't like someone waiting for her...but, things happened for all the reason...and then she finally found her way to the arrival area... and there she is. In her blue car blinking the headlight at me... The smile and the happy face was plastered as I approached her...and my only word was, OMG! she never changed... she's the same person, years back, I'm talking about physically... petit and happy and ok the word is fit...I love laura. she made me feel having a sister I never had. So, off we go for our first destination...LACMA! American Heart Walk9/27/2015 American Heart Walk, held at Snow Park, Oakland CA. September 24, 2015
I was one of the many volunteer to capture the events fun and rewarding events. It celebrated the success of all the people who survive and fighting to stop heart problem. I was privileged to be stationed in the VIP booth and get the chance to talk to people and captures all their wonderful and happy faces, even after walking under the sun. Me, Myself and my Camera7/16/2015 I have been doing photography for about 5 years now. It's an on and off thing for me, I started as a point and shoot enthusiast. Until, I have met couple of professional photographer from Fremont, Ca. They've been nice to share and teach me some of the things, as a beginner, need to learn.
It was an awesome experience having been around with them, until I get so busy and I lost track of everything from going to their regular meeting and getting in-touch with them. So, then, because it's something I really would like to do, I started learning on my own by watching youtube and reading different photographers. Some of my favorite channel in youtube are, Creativelive, Adorama, Adobe photoshop, Photofonz and Jason Lanier. Recently, I get fascinated doing my self portrait, since it is not easy to find one. One guy from youtube I've watched ,http://phlearn.com/pt-3-use-yourself , he is so good to watched... I love how he discussed making self portrait. and indeed, he is right , by saying doing self portrait can be fun and frustrstingly fun..and now im enjoying it. I am using my Samsung NX2000 with my Samsung Note4 as my shutter trigger release accessory. it links to my camera and I see well and coordinate my pose before hitting the shutter. With the two combined gadget, I don't need to run back and forth as I shoot my self portrait, check my facebook site https://m.facebook.com/CenIsabel . Unlike when I was using my Nikon D7000, though I have my shutter infrared release its still alittle tiring... better aline that infrared or you wont get your shoot... AuthorCen Isabel Archives
